Gaga Pit

Dear members of the Madeira Swim and Tennis Club,

My name is Kyle Kimbrough I am a Boy Scout In Troop 209 and a Sophomore at Madeira High School.  I am working on my Eagle project for Boy Scouts.  My project is building a Gaga pit at the Madeira Swim and Tennis Club. Gaga is a game that originated in Israel and is spreading across the U.S.  It is a variation of dodge ball that is played with one ball. The game combines dodging, striking, running and jumping with the object of hitting opponents with a ball below the knee while avoiding being hit. Gaga is played in a multi-wall enclosure, its a fun game for kids of all ages and another excellent active alternative or break to swimming. I am going to be constructing the pit this spring and I am seeking funds to help complete this project.

I’m hoping to raise about $1000 dollars to cover the cost of materials.  It sounds like an ambitious goal, but if only half the families at the swim-club donate $10 dollars we will reach this amount. If you wish to contribute to the success of this project you can click here to donate. I am hoping to get donations in by Monday May 18th so I can finish the project by June 7th so your kids can enjoy playing Gaga as soon as possible.
If you have any questions you can contact me at

Thank you for supporting this project.  I know the kids will really have fun playing Gaga!
